David Hogg Is Fake Opposition’s Fake Opposition

David Hogg is fake. From the wake of the Parkland massacre, David Hogg (and other classmates) emerged as political mouthpieces for gun-based legislation. Years later he reveals on Bill Maher’s show, that he is not only a gun owner, but a gun user. In fact, a competitive shooter. That kind of identity is not unacceptable. But it certainly conflates with being a spokesperson for why Republicans are evil supporting the NRA. Something about his radical shift, or revelation, has yet to be explained. But make no mistake: David Hogg is fake.

His most recent foray has been claiming to have a $20,000,000 fund to support candidates.

In the mid-terms. Over a year from now. At a time when there are rising calls from within the Democratic party to impeach Trump, and hold his corrupt administration accountable. Why is nobody doing that? In fact, some of the worst culprits that Hogg should be focusing on if his aim were true, are standing silently behind him.

Understanding America’s Uniparty From Another Perspective

When you peel back the layers, what seems like genuine opposition is often a charade. Fake opposition is about creating the illusion of disagreement. It’s political theater meant to maintain the status quo. A clear example of this is the Democratic Party’s supposed β€œopposition” to the Republicans. In reality, at the federal and Congressional level, these parties barely ever oppose each other.

Let’s start with Donald Trump, the figurehead of a deeply divided country.

The Democrats claim to oppose him – after all, he’s the embodiment of everything they stand against, right?

Yet, despite a decade of his persistence in our political system, he’s still here.

There have been numerous impeachments and two new attempts. But the Democrats have never truly held him accountable. The 34 felony counts against Trump are weak accounting frauds in NYC. They had nothing to do with the public or his time in office. The message people get is that he’s a criminal in his private life. But that doesn’t prove he’s a criminal in office.

The attempts were symbolic at best.

Symbols of an Era We Must Move On From

Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and other prominent Democratic figures continue to position themselves as fierce opponents of Trump, while quietly aligning with him on key issues. If they have disagreements with him it’s over their share of the pie. Chuck Schumer went on a tirade acting like he thinks Trump’s first 100 days can be summed up with an “F word,” meaning “failure.” Which means that Schumer believes in the agenda, but is saying Trump isn’t getting it done. These supposed adversaries are more like political dance partners, performing their roles to keep the public satisfied with the illusion of a fight, while maintaining the status quo.

And we can’t forget the past Democratic presidents – Obama, Clinton – who now, post-office, are back in the fold with Trump, enjoying mutual respect and collaboration behind closed doors. Publicly, it’s a different story, but the reality is that both sides continue to play the same game, with their policies often mirroring each other.

Young Guns Are Still Pretending to Fight the Same Fights

Enter David Hogg. The media darling who has been marketed as an anti-gun advocate and a passionate activist for change. But take a closer look, and you’ll find that Hogg is playing the role of fake opposition within the Democratic Party itself. Hogg, now the Vice Chair of the DNC, is all about raising funds to oppose primary seats from incumbents in β€œsafe” districts. But here’s the rub: he’s not targeting the real power players – the ones who are actively enabling GOP policies. No, instead, he’s setting his sights on vulnerable Democrats, some of whom are merely playing along with the game but aren’t the architects of the real problem.

If David Hogg were truly interested in disrupting the power structure, wouldn’t he target the likes of Chuck Schumer or Hakeem Jeffries? Both of these individuals, while rhetorically opposing the GOP, are deeply involved in the kind of bipartisan collaboration that only serves to further entrench the establishment. Schumer is known for his deals with the GOP on critical issues, while Jeffries is widely seen as a corporate-friendly figure, far removed from the needs of everyday citizens. But no, instead, Hogg is directing his energy toward the very people who pose the least threat to the establishment.

The Bernie Sanders Bands featuring AOC and the Broken Records Club

Democrats think they have a messaging problem.

They do.

The problem is they lack substance, so every message they come up with sounds lame, fake, or like a lie. It is.

Bernie Sanders and AOC are drawing the crowds he’s been building since 2015 when he ran for President and lost to Hillary Clinton in the primary. These people treat him like a rockstar. That’s all it is. Idol worship. These two are not saying anything new, nor do they have a different tactic to take than they had before. They have been wrong on a lot of things, ineffective at anything worth doing, and soaking up attention they don’t deserve. This is what I mean by fake opposition.

“Medicare for all” as a concept didn’t work. It won’t. It can’t. Providing healthcare supplies, insurance, or other needs to people from the government or private sector is an open debate. What you call a program is one thing. What the program is is another thing.

These people have no answers, so stop listening to them.

Democrats Are Going David Hogg Wild With James Carville

David Hogg is the face of a movement that is pretending to challenge the Democratic Party from within, but ultimately serves to protect the interests of the political elite. And when you look deeper, you’ll see that the real fight – the one that challenges the power structure from within the party – is non-existent. This is a game where no one is truly allowed to win unless they play by the rules set by the powers that be.

At the bottom of this political food chain is none other than James Carville, the so-called β€œRagin’ Cajun,” a longtime strategist and pundit who at first claimed to oppose Hogg’s approach.

But what happened?

James Carville and David Hogg on a podcast debating nothing of substance while acting like opponents to create suspense in the fake Democrat party.

Carville quickly caved, making amends with Hogg and joining forces in the very system he once criticized. A few stories have permeated over the las few days claiming Hogg will be ousted. There is no telling if that was a new decision or not, either. Regardless, none of them are talking about the very Democrats who are senior members in the DNC that should be ousted. This illustrates the ultimate futility of genuine opposition within the party. Carville went from fake opposition to fake opposition’s fake opposition.

Democrats Are Still Somewhere Over the Rainbow Flag

Though many people claim the Trump “they/them” ad was the most successful in history, it wasn’t. The Democrats like Gavin Newsom who pretend they weren’t in massive support of things like LGBTQ+IA and other fringe groups’ movements are kidding themselves if they think we all forgot. However, the needs of people in those groups haven’t changed, and they will still need representation. Will Republicans give it to them? No.

People from within the Republican party are furious with Trump and how he is implementing his administration right now. They don’t have courageous enough leadership to do anything about it, though. The bipartisanship that happens in the background to unify both sides does not happen in the public eye. So they appear to be cantankerous and incapable of working together to do anything like hold Trump accountable. Democrats are pretending to fight amongst themselves to prevent an actual fight amongst themselves, because that would destabilize both sides from their fake opposition secretly unified position.

So where does this leave us?

In a world where the Democrats and Republicans function as two sides of the same coin, pretending to oppose each other while quietly consolidating power, true opposition is systematically shut out. Donald Trump, who once changed parties to lead the GOP, has become the de facto leader of both major political factions, albeit in a different form. But today, there is no room for a real alternative.

That’s the beauty of the charade – fake opposition dominates the narrative.

If never have to have a real fight, they never have to really lose.
