Donald Trump routinely has said that the Ukraine/Russia War “never would have happened if (he) was President.” That of course is a counterfactual which can’t be known. However, we can safely say that Donald Trump in no way is able to negotiate peace deals effectively right now. Sadly, his personal financial conflicts of interest have rendered him and his team incapable of making fair deals anymore.
But the recent war between Israel and Iran never should have happened.
It’s possible that it was always going to happen at some point.
However, Witkoff’s War never should have happened.
The Bloodtrail of Witkoff’s War
Witkoff’s War began just after midnight on June 13, 2025 as Israel launched its largest strike on Iran. This was unequivocally a war, declared by Benjamin Netanyahu in an admittedly “pre-emptive” fashion. Under the premise of Iran’s nuclear program advancing, the Israelis orchestrated an operation called “Rising Lion” which assassinated a number of high ranking military commanders and nuclear scientists in addition to destroying at least (1) above ground nuclear facility. Iran has already retaliated, sending about (100) drones whose damage has not been widely reported.
This article will address how Witkoff’s War began, what complications made it a near inevitability, and what we can do to reduce tensions and make peace a possibility. I will say from the outset, that the Iranians will be understandably furious. They will be planning many other attacks, whether or not they ever get to execute them. The statements being made by Iran’s Supreme Leader are clear. This is not over at all.
60 Day Deadline & TACO Taunts
Donald Trump issued a warning to Iran to agree to a deal within 60 days, and this Operation Rising Lion was executed on day 61. Ironically, Trump was recently insulted by a meme calling him a “TACO” i.e. Trump Always Chickens Out. Some commentators at the time raised concerns that this might embolden Trump to endorse or authorize a strike on Iran, to prove he does not or did not chicken out. Being that the Israelis actually carried out this strike, it seems like Netanyahu is the one who kept his word.
While Donald Trump and Netanyahu will rightly get the most of the credit, blame, and attention, it is actually Steve Witkoff and his improper position, which deserves primary scrutiny from the perspective of the American people and the Congress who is supposed to be holding this administration accountable. Sadly, too many members of Congress have their own interests in a war with Iran one way or another, and they don’t actually care if the pretense or pretext for it make no sense or have weak cover.
Undoing A Fake Position – America Has No Use For “Envoys”
Throughout American history, you will find few “envoys,” and for good reason. George Washington nominated John Jay to be an envoy to Great Britain, and Thomas Jefferson nominated several envoys to negotiate with Native Americans. Generally speaking, the term, and more importantly, the legal distinction, is nonexistent. It’s a fake title here.
Steve Witkoff would have no chance of being Senate confirmed, which is why he would never have been able to be cabinet-rank as an official. Cabinet-rank is a legitimate, legally defined, and constitutionally protected position to a much larger extent than the term envoy. Moreover, Steve Witkoff is not just holding a fake title in the Donald Trump White House, he is also the Co-Founder of Donald Trump’s family cryptocurrency firm World Liberty Financial.
Witkoff Is A Fake Government Official Who Must Be Eliminated From His Position
Not only was Mr. Witkoff never confirmed by the Senate, his financial conflicts of interest would have never passed any kind of clearance. Where his bank accounts are, what debts he owes and to whom, and what kinds of alternative citizenship arrangements he has with other nations all should have been considered.
Knowing now that $TRUMP coin, the Gold Card, and plenty of other schemes have enabled widespread and unfettered bribery with this President, his personal business partner has been conducting the world’s most sensitive peace negotiations and they are all going horribly. If Steve Witkoff were the Secretary of State – who should be negotiating these deals – he would be censured, or forced to resign.
Since Mr. Witkoff is not even technically any kind of federal authority, he is also oddly untouchable so long as people continue to pretend like he has some kind of veil of protection around him. But he does not. And the likelihood is that the main things which became sticking points or deal breakers for the Iranians, were the personal interests of Donald Trump.
Donald Trump Should Be Impeached For Forging Cabinet Rank Official Credentials
Since diplomacy should only be conducted on the President’s behalf by another government official of a high-ranking sort, and Donald Trump wanted to make sure that he had somebody to negotiate his personal stake in international conflicts like the situation with Israel, so he had his buddy Steve do that part. This is one of the reason why so many countries are having this experience where Trump says one thing, the Secretary of State says another, and Witkoff says yet another thing.
This has happened in Ukraine, and now with Iran. What’s worse, is that Witkoff has literally no experience doing anything of this sort, and that’s because he is mostly just representing the financial interests of the man Donald Trump, not the President Donald Trump.
That distinction, about the difference between the man and the President, is big.
There Is No Such Thing As An American Envoy With Any Legal Authorities
Classifying somebody as an “envoy” and then enabling them to use the full force of the American military and partnerships to back up strong-arm tactics, for personal profiteering, while putting American lives at risk all over the world – is essentially forcing us into a war with Iran where Americans will eventually have to defend ourselves even if we did not want this war in the first place. There was no vote.
Too many members of Congress are complicit, financially vested with Donald Trump personally so they only pretend to object in public. Like Chuck Schumer. Most of the high-ranking Democrats who take up the most time and space in the media, are actually on Donald Trump’s side. They are waiting for their payout or political favors and simply fake opposition on social media. What they should do is get Steve Witkoff arrested for his unlawful negotiations, and impeach Donald John Trump for allowing such an unqualified person to even remotely engage with this kind of thing.
Donald Trump’s Fake Cabinet Was Supposed To Enable Him To Have Unchecked Power
Essentially, Donald Trump falsified a cabinet-rank official credential for Steve Witkoff to the point that foreign nations like Iran believed that he was a government official when he is not a government official. That is the definition of impersonation. Just because the President co-signs somebody impersonating a fake position does not make it real.
Just look at Elon Musk and DOGE.
Fake department.
Fake positions.
Real damage.
Though Steve Witkoff is guilty of impersonation, Donald Trump is guilty of forgery.
Real people are dying. Real lives are at risk. And these guys continue moving forward with their plans because Congress refuses to authorize their own actions and proceedings like impeachment. Instead, they are whining and crying about one of their colleagues being momentarily on the ground and acting aghast like nobody in the country knows who the hell he is.
To make matters worse related to Witkoff, is he began causing trouble before Donald Trump was even inaugurated.
Illegal First Meeting With Netanyahu – Bribery Scheme Initiated
On Saturday, January 11, 2025, The Guardian reported, “Trump’s Middle East envoy visits Netanyahu in push for Gaza ceasefire.” This was, of course, over a week prior to Donald Trump being inaugurated as President again. Therefore, that meeting was unequivocally under unofficial conditions, and in no way could Mr. Witkoff have presented any real meaningful offers from the United States of America.
He absolutely could and likely did make personal promises or guarantees from Donald Trump. They could have exchanged cryptocurrency or done other shadow banking deal with older money style systems. The point is, this meeting was illegal, a violation of the Logan Act (which is a problematic law) but moreover, this was a meeting where promises were made on behalf of the United States to defend Donald Trump, not the other way around. That is why Donald Trump must also be impeached for this meeting and what followed from it.
My Pre-Inaugural Warning Was Sadly Ignored
On January 15, 2025 I wrote a piece called, “Is The Middle Eastern Ceasefire For Sale?”
I warned that Witkoff represented Donald Trump’s personal financial interest, not the peaceful interests of the people of the United States of America. Steve Witkoff has fiduciary responsibility and liability as Donald Trump’s personal business partner. He has no allegiance or responsibility to uphold the constitution or anything else that we would wish for in diplomats dealing with such sensitive negotiations.
The most stark line of this piece was, “Peace risks becoming a commodity instead of a principle.” We must remove Steve Witkoff from this position or risk further conflicts.
False Start Then A False Sense of Hope
Witkoff’s War began on the footing of false hope.
Donald Trump convinced a lot of Americans that he would be the “peace President” and even convinced them that he started “no new wars” under his first administration.
That is a lie and a half truth. No new declared war has been authorized since WW2 so the technical fact is America cheated its own constitutionally guided provisions for warfighting years ago. He assassinated a high ranking Iranian military leader back then as well. They did not take kindly to that, and may have supported the October 7th 2023 attack on Israel in part due to being bitter about the Trump assassination strike.
But on January 30, 2025, New Arab reported, “Trump Mideast envoy pushes Netanyahu to end Gaza war.” During this time there were a lot of news reports claiming things like this did that “Steve Witkoff pressed Netanyahu to…second phase of the Gaza ceasefire.” This is untrue. What followed from this were repeated claims of ceasefires existing, and then reports of Israeli strikes and damages being done. The hope of Witkoff’s presence being useful to the Palestinians quickly evaporated too.
“Riviera of the Middle East” – Ethnic Cleansing Threats Escalated Tensions
On February 26, 2025, a little more than a month after Steve Witkoff’s first illegal meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, American Progress reported, “Trump’s ‘Riviera of the Middle East’ Plan Fundamentally Misreads the Arab World.” It references remarks made by Donald Trump while discussing mutual plans with Netanyahu and Israel. This was characterized by many as a promise to ethnically cleanse the region for the purpose of erecting condos for the world’s elite. Many found the remarks to be insensitive and ominous, and what followed from there seems to have followed along that feared path.
Never Forget The Witkoff Massacre
Though not widely reported, the podcasters at Breaking Points did alert me to this horrific event which the Palestinians have dubbed “The Witkoff Massacre.” I will mention that at the moment, the Israeli government essentially denies this event or the accounts as to how it took place. In the fog of war and the coverage of atrocities, there can be a problem with believing things too quickly. With that in mind, I will say that it seems entirely credible that this occurred and occurred the way it has been described.
Peoples Dispatch reported on June 3, 2025, “Israel kills hundreds of aid seekers in Gaza in the “Witkoff massacre.” The incident is said to have occurred on June 1, 2025.
Peoples Dispatch says, “Palestinians held US envoy to the “Middle East”, Steve Witkoff, responsible for Sunday’s massacre after he swiftly rejected Hamas’s response to his latest ceasefire proposal Saturday, May 31.” They go further to quote, Witkoff described Hamas’ response as “totally unacceptable”, saying that the Palestinian resistance movement “should accept the framework proposal” that he put forward “as the basis for proximity talks.”
Steve Witkoff Is Unacceptable As A Representative of the United States of America
“One week ago, we agreed with Mr. Witkoff on one proposal, and we said, ‘This is acceptable, we can consider this a negotiating paper,’” the Palestinian official said. “He went to the other party, to the Israelis, to get their response. Instead of having a response to our proposal, he brought us a new proposal, which had nothing to do with what we agreed upon,” he added. It appears that the Witkoff style of negotiations is to make promises, change his mind, and then retaliate against the other party for seemingly no reason. Donald Trump’s personal terms, may not be getting met.
Those who criticize Witkoff for his involvement suggest that after he rejected the Hamas proposal, it emboldened or authorized Israel to retaliate by beginning to open fire and attack people seeking aid in a place they were essentially lured to.
Understanding Trump’s Counterfeit Nuclear Deal
To say that Witkoff “failed” to achieve ceasefires or peace deals would suggest that you believed him in the first place that he was there for that purpose. I personally do not believe Witkoff was interested in or concerned about peace negotiations or ending any wars. That is not to say he wanted a war with Iran, necessarily. Yet clearly, his cruelty and/or incompetence has created the conditions for extreme abuses of human rights, civil rights, and the laws of war.
Similarly to the negotiations with Hamas, the Iranians have been clear to the Trump team that there are things which Witkoff has asked for that the Iranians will just simply not agree to. The premise rests upon the creation of a kind of “consortium,” (another legally nebulous phrase) that would exist *outside of Iran* where they would be allowed (key concept) to enrich uranium under the oversight of the United States.
This was uniformly rejected.
The Consortium Was An Obvious, Known Dealbreaker
There are a few rhetorical devices related to the “Iran Nuclear Deal” concept that you should take note of. For example, the phrase “Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.” I think a lot of people hear that, and think they know what it means. But think about it for a second. Iran is not the child of the United States. Iran is not our younger sibling who our parents told to watch after.
They are a whole people, a nation with history and culture, and a military. So to suggest that the United States (or Israel) could suggest something like this as a framework for a deal, is immature. You will hear people in the 80’s make these talking points sound emphatic in their vocal tone but it flatly makes no sense.
That deals with the “can” part.
How about “have?”
What does it mean to “have” a nuclear weapon?
Nuclear Energy vs. Nuclear Weapons
The negotiations are all about a nuclear energy program that could enable Iran to enrich uranium to the degree that it could become weapons grade. That framework is so old it makes no sense anymore, especially with all the credible reports that the United States has violated their own treaties by supplying other NATO allies with nuclear weapons from their arsenal. There are suspicions that Israel has been armed with nuclear weapons, for instance. Though American Presidents like Biden and Trump especially have attempted to convince the public that their adversaries are isolated on the worlds’ stage, the opposite is true today.
Donald Trump’s tariff fiasco has isolated the United States, and Iran has many powerful allies including Russia and China.
Russia supposedly has even more nuclear weapons than the United States has, so the fact is folks, if Iran wants a nuclear weapon they can get one.
Nuclear Weapons Can and Have Been Exchanged, Though They *Aren’t Supposed To Be*
Would Russia supply Iran with a nuclear weapon? I do not know. It is not beyond the realm of possibility, though, considering how genocidal American Presidents and their allies have become. At a minimum, I would find it hard to believe that Iran and Russia (or another nuclear armed power like DPRK) would not have come to some kind of nuclear agreement of their own under which conditions Iran could use or authorize nuclear strike capability.
That is not the same thing as having a program to make those weapons domestically. I do understand that. But if you act like a grown up, you’d see they may have one already. Therefore, whether they do or don’t or could or won’t, the fact remains that claiming the United States’ tough talk or defiance can prevent the acquisition or direction of a nuclear weapon – by Iran – is silly.
While we would not want to have another nuclear armed nation with unfriendly beliefs about the United States to attack us with nuclear weapons, there are plenty of other non-nuclear ways to terrorize the United States and Donald Trump and his friends just provoked that.
Americans Must Stop Being So Defeatist
Too many defeatists with too loud of amplifiers in America are acting like we can never recover from this or that it would take generations, but that is why we need to expose the underlying frauds in Witkoff’s War to undo the components which are holding it together.
At this point Iran has accepted they were attacked on the premise of war, and Israel wants that regardless of the United States and Donald Trump’s particular interest in the conflict. That means The People of United States need to find a way to distance ourselves from what Donald Trump is doing personally, and demonstrate to the rest of the world (Iranians included) that these are not the actions of a President protecting his people.
These are the actions of a greedy self-dealing madman who has seized control of the White House and is directing his real estate developer buddy to provoke war since they are not getting what they wanted – which is access to the Iranian energy markets – and other business opportunities for Trump: personally.
Skimming Off BRICS Transactions Is Probably Their Real Goal
Just like the term “envoy” means practically nothing on a legal basis, so does the term “consortium.” In essence, the framework of the consortium sounds to me to be a lot like something like BRICS, which Iran is already part of. Trump has been presenting threats to BRICS claiming these nations are trying to unseat the USD as the reserve currency of the world, as Trump himself (along with Steve Witkoff) are attempting to replace USD with their own USD1 stablecoin and other cryptocurrencies and shadow banking connections.
In exchange for the United States leading this consortium, Iran not enriching uranium to weapons grade, and promising not to have a nuclear weapon, the United States was offering Iran the opportunity to slowly get back onto SWIFT and lift banking sanctions.
This is important.
FedWire Is Like Gold…
Because, in past administrations, that might even mean allowing Iran to use FedWire which is the federal government’s payments system. This would allow Iran to do more direct business with America, for example. However, with the introduction of Steve Witkoff and World Liberty Financial, it is unclear what those meetings actually entail or if the agreement is that Iranian leaders deal with Witkoff and/or Scott Bessent to transact with the Trump on behalf of the President/American people. In other words, if the deal was that Iran can get back into business with the United States, if Iran agrees to essentially restructure BRICS around America.
Or, compete against BRICS in the region.
However, this is not the public conversation whatsoever.
In fact, Donald Trump was very adamant about the fact that Biden was so stupid for authorizing weapons to Ukraine without repayment guarantees. There are no such guarantees being spoken about in relation to Israel fighting Iran or what we might contribute to this cause. Who is liable if Iran strikes American soil? Do we go to war with them directly, or does Israel pay us back for that damage? The fact is that most Americans do not want war with Iran.
We do not want to fight in Witkoff’s War.
Elon Musk May Have Actually Been Upset About This
Elon Musk is from South Africa, a BRICS nation. His family has business in South Africa dating back many years, with his father’s stake in an emerald mine for example. Elon Musk is thought of in America for Tesla, SpaceX, etc. but the likelihood is that his family fund Excession and other personal investments must be reliant on both international exports (which tariffs are hurting) as well as some oil/gas or other minerals with BRICS.
If Elon Musk caught wind that Trump was threatening BRICS, and that war between Israel and Iran was imminent, he might want to have gotten the hell out of there as fast as possible. But, it explains what he might be genuinely upset with, rather than just assuming it’s all idle issues about the not-so-Big-Beautiful-Bill.
Back on January 8, 2025, I wrote a piece called “Follow The Yellow BRICS Road” in which I described the global oil and gas shipping, rare earth minerals, and de-dollarization issues that America was already facing before Donald Trump got back into office. I describe how Trump has aligned himself with entities like World Liberty Financial, which seeks to replace the U.S. dollar and Federal Reserve with their own personally controlled decentralized shadow banking system.
All Along DOGE Was Just Another BRICS In The Wall
The DOGE project and Elon Musk may have seemed at one time to be one of the most important parts of the administration.
Quickly, though, Elon seems to have discovered just how useless he was to Donald Trump. Despite being the richest man in the world, Elon Musk discovered that he was no match for Trump in terms of wheeling and dealing. After Musk’s public meltdown and delete-streak getting rid of the evidence of his rant about Epstein and whatever else, this war with Iran popped off.
Witkoff’s War may have been too much for him, or perhaps it was the last straw.
Let Trump Fight Witkoff’s War – Alone
The Iranians are going to retaliate with whatever response they feel is proportional and there really is nothing anybody can do to stop them from plotting something. It is incumbent upon us to look ahead, try to find a path forward, but also defend against the likelihood that they may lay in wait or lie about negotiations now as a retaliatory action like Witkoff and Trump and Netanyahu did.
However, before another region breaks out with war because of Witkoff’s illegal appointment, Congress must act to revoke his status as even an “envoy,” and make it clear to the rest of the world that this man is not to be trusted. He should face consequences in terms of criminal conduct, probes into his finances, and figure out what he and Trump were really doing with Netanyahu.
At a minimum, Witkoff must resign, and leave future negotiations to Marco Rubio the Secretary of State. Donald Trump must also be forced to remain out of the negotiations, and concessions must be made on the part of the United States to demonstrate good faith and interest in negotiations with Iran. Otherwise, they will only ever see us as an aggressor who attacked them while trying to make a deal. Trump often talks about how America is “respected” because of him. That may have been true at one point in time, even for the people who dislike Trump. But that is not true today.
Witkoff’s War was the last moment America had any credibility in the peace process.
At this point, we need to send different representatives and diplomats.
The financial relationships between America and foreign nations must also be audited.
My Alternative Nuclear Deal Points
Even though it may be too late for years, there were a lot of other ideas that could have been presented to bring these nations closer together. The reason they were driven into this position was because Donald Trump wedged his own personal financial interests onto the table, just like he did with Ukraine/Russia before I presented an alternative. You can read that in my piece, “ULTRA: Ukraine Liability Taxpayer Repayment Act” where I provided an alternative to the Trump proposal of…nothing.
Trump berated President of Ukraine Zelenskyy in a now-infamous Oval Office meltdown where Donald Trump repeatedly said things like, “you don’t have the cards,” and insisted that Ukraine must (for no explicitly stated reason) sign an agreement to provide the United States with their rare Earth minerals – to get peace with Russia.
That only makes sense if Donald Trump is able to convince Putin to stop fighting and it made no sense that Russia would inherently care that the United States got a deal on minerals the Russians probably want themselves. This was yet another example of how Donald Trump’s personal financial conflicts of interest have gone way beyond things that were reported in his first administration. Things like Secret Service agents paying full price at Trump hotels, even back then, I found to be stupid. The amount of money Donald Trump personally profited from the individual hotel stays of Secret Service members is entirely negligible.
America, We the People Must Reclaim Our Government
If the United States wants to partner with Iran, and basically the United States is looking for a way into BRICS, that is unlikely to happen. There have been limited discussions in the past of allowing Israel to join BRICS, but it was previously believed to be unnecessary. In this case, though, if Israel were to join BRICS – while patching things up with Iran – America could deal with BRICS via Israel instead of joining.
This would actually allow Iran to get opened up on the payments systems of the federal government (not routed via Trump or Witkoff personal accounts) which lifts the sanctions. It gets Israel and Iran doing business together. This brings America into a new market. We get to push Trump out of the room metaphorically speaking. Once parties can agree to it, this also stops the bloodshed – which is sure to continue.
As far as the issue of enrichment of uranium and a nuclear (weapons) program, there is nothing that Iran necessarily has to do or provide as commitments like in the past. The deals of the past were a fantasy and a fiction to begin with, especially if America has itself broken the non-proliferation treaty by distributing nuclear weapons to other nations.
While this exact framework might not settle anything anymore, and could have been rejected prior to Witkoff’s War beginning, it provides a much more solid foundation for each party involved. We are never going to be able to prevent any nation that can afford to purchase a nuclear weapon, from acquiring one. The best acts of diplomacy America could and should engage with would be to conduct ourselves on the world’s stage with a presence that has the fewest countries on Earth wanting our annihilation.
Ending Witkoff’s War Civilly Is Still Going To Be Required Eventually
Like I’ve said here multiple times, this war between Israel and Iran is likely to wage for a while. Now that the violence has scaled to a point of attacking one another’s capitol cities, with civilian casualties, and the media machine mobilizing, it’s on a collision course with the whole of the Middle East. That means there is a likelihood that continued war, for possibly the next few years – or even decades – may be underway.
The best things we can do for ourselves, is to analyze how we got here and prevent it in the future, while holding as many people accountable as possible.
In this instance, Steve Witkoff must face criminal penalties for impersonating an officer of the United States of America. Donald Trump must be impeached for forging a fake position, causing international confusion, leading to the provocation of a war over nuclear weapons – all for personal profit – where the American people do not benefit.
Just like I’ve written about regarding the slave trading that appears to be going on between Donald Trump and Bukele of El Salvador, if you are comfortable receiving a slavery stipend from the government some day for it – you cannot support these things. Similarly, we cannot allow Steve Witkoff to ascend to some kind of invincible status as he orchestrates some of the modern eras worst acts of brutality – for money.
Bitching Without Real Action Is Not American
Too often in American politics or broadcasting, people use these phrases like “it’s unAmerican.” Or even, “this is not who we are.”
If this is not who we are, it’s time we prove it.
Arrest Steve Witkoff for war crimes: provoking genocide and international military assaults for personal gain. Impeach Donald Trump for executing it.
Congress must do this to prevent future catastrophe.
If Congress does not act, we must act to remove Congress.
It shouldn’t be too hard. Witkoff doesn’t even really have a job in the administration.
Witkoff’s War must end.
