Dismantling the One Big Beautiful Bill

The β€œOne Big Beautiful Bill” that Donald Trump is marketing was just introduced on May 20 of this year. It is brand new. Not something that was ever spoken about on the campaign trail. Whenever Trump brands something as his own, the public is quick to believe him. Not only that, the public and the press are quick to grant Trump ownership of things that don’t even belong to him. This bill is only his in terms of how he’s using it for his own personal advantage. The Republicans who support it may actually believe in the framework or contents. Trump does not. It is a strategic tool for him to avoid impeachment and other court case losses.

Tracing the Origin of This Shameful Legislative Bottleneck

I do not like granting Trump naming rights on things that are a matter of public record or ownership, such as legislation. It offers him the opportunity to frame things, and forces people to discuss things (including criticisms) on his terms. Insofar as the One Big Beautiful Bill is just another House Resolution, think of it more like “The Arrington Johnson Trump Protection Act.”

This may be the secret that Elon Musk finally learned.

Speaker Johnson and Rep. Arrington Produced This

Speaker Mike Johnson was recently on a television interview where he said the following:

  • β€œI didn’t…craft a piece of legislation…to please the richest man in the world.”
  • He claims he did it to β€œhelp hard-working Americans.”
  • Johnson says, β€œall wages are gonna rise.”
  • In terms of timing for ratifying this, he says, β€œthe sooner the better.”

To be very clear, there is only (1) name on this bill, and that’s sponsor Jodey C. Arrington. House Rep. for Texas’ 19th Congressional district. A Republican. As far as the technical details are concerned, this man and this man alone is the author of this flatulent disruption in the Congress.

It is incoherent in many ways. It appears to have only been introduced to block the Congress from a new impeachment movement which I instigated by distributing my own articles to the entire Congress and international press. Some of his most loyal supporters in the House of Representatives – like Marjorie Taylor Greene – are only expressing doubts or concerns with it now that the legislation has passed in her chamber.

Ron Johnson has said as recently as today that this bill will not pass the Senate.

Elon Musk exited his position within the White House claiming issue with the bill, and the country is being told a variety of things from the political party of their preference.

Being that I am attempting to show you people the power of my revolution, I will demonstrate an analysis of this bill that you would not otherwise see. A non-partisan approach.

You will gain insight and knowledge of your own from this process.

But do not forget where that came from, and give credit to me where it is due.

β€œAll I see are signs, all I see are dollar signs” – Rihanna

Political cartoon representing pigs who are greedy taking advantage of the unfortunate Americans via the "One Big Beautiful Bill."

Last year I interrupted Elon Musk’s first complete debacle of altering the Continuing Resolution. Things move so fast these days, and the press is often guided by the moment and the future. So you might not remember that. Last year the CR was being criticized as being too big (like literally, in terms of number of pages) and the DOGE effort was salivating at their opportunity to get into government and show everybody their ability to make things more efficient.

All they managed to do was delay this process and produce a tiny version for show.

Meanwhile, Democrats made no mention of the $90M+ budget allocated for Trump’s inauguration in that bill despite raising their voices on televised press conferences. Now there is a military parade about to take place with tanks and other equipment being rolled into Washington DC and people are losing their minds over it.

It would have been a lot harder for him to get away with that had anybody taken me seriously when I raised this issue previously. Actually, even if I had been regarded as a regular citizen with extraordinary insight and courage, to speak out against both political parties on behalf of the American people – this could have been avoided. Chuck Schumer eventually got Trump whatever he wanted at the time, claiming that averting a government shutdown was much more important.

Acknowledge My Disruptions, and Stop Paying Attention To Frauds

I positioned myself before Congress and the press as a competitor to Elon’s DOGE, and they had to admit he had no business shaping legislation. I highlighted that the DOGE initiative used a single-name specification with no competitive bidding to drive government efficiency. That absence of competition made its failure obvious. Only Donald John Trump could choose who was fit for that roleβ€”and Elon Musk proved himself a terrible pick.

Even Musk’s supporters and DOGE backers couldn’t deny he botched the tasks before him. He may honestly claim he never saw the bill before Congress approved it. He also made no effort to find itβ€”he didn’t ask any member of Congress, nor did he check the official legislative website. People spread misinformation as if legislation hides behind a veil of secrecy.

It’s published publicly for any and all to read.

It is complicated work, and I discovered it was complicated further by antiquated computer software and systematic irregularities. I also found at this time, that there were glaring security flaws in the computer systems that hosted these pieces of legislation. But you have to look at these things in simple terms to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

How To Look At Arrington’s Dumb Delay Tactic Bill

One of the first things I did when analyzing this bill was to do a finder search for the β€œ$” symbol to see how many line items are actually up for debate here. If you do that yourself, you will see that the current format of the bill shows a total of (766) $ symbols. It’s not a million. It’s not even a thousand. Ironically, DOGE published a lot of claims about fraud, waste, and abuse including citing certain programs they said they wanted to cut. In the case of this bill, though, Elon Musk couldn’t even be bothered to feed it into his own AI to read for him?

There are not even (766) line items in this bill.

For example, most of the first series of $ symbols refer to allocations and price setting for bushels of certain farmed commodities. A β€œreference price,” as they call it. The thing that stood out to me here was the specificity and auditable commitment they made to these prices, compared to the prices or budgets of other things like costs for the defense department.

β€œFor wheat, $6.35 per bushel.” That’s very specific.

Congress Is Putting the Screws to Farmers

They don’t allocate $6 per bushel. Nor $7 per bushel. Not even somewhere between $6 and $7.

They were kind enough to round to a nickel instead of a penny or fraction of a penny on these things, but you get the point. This is more like a retail price any consumer might see in a store. Or at least that’s how a lot of Americans could relate to it. Instead of explaining things of this nature to the American people, politicians lie or come up with slogans to cover up. If you review this bill simply by scanning the $ symbols, you will learn a vast majority of what significant things they crammed in here, and ignore the rest of it for now.

Almost all of those sections related to budgeting are pages long, whether they relate to a single department as large as the DoD, or something as small as literal grains.

Compare that kind of specificity with the level of specificity given to the most undeniably dramatic and unimaginable authorization in terms of our debt limit:

β€œSubtitle D–Increase in Debt Limit

SEC. 113001. MODIFICATION OF LIMITATION ON THE PUBLIC DEBT.

“The limitation under section 3101(b) of title 31, United StatesΒ

Code, as most recently increased by section 401(b) of Public Law 118-5

(31 U.S.C. 3101 note), is increased by $4,000,000,000,000.”

After everything Elon Musk represented, and whatever DOGE was as an extension of Trump’s campaign promises, this is about as far in the other direction as you could go.

Hundreds of pages, hundreds of dollar signs, and yet a single sentence that adds $4 trillion of weight.

Breaking Down Differences In Allocation Specificity

How much money will be spent on grain, wheat, oats, and other farmed commodities from subsidy? Maybe billions of dollars. Those billions of dollars will be broken up by specific reference price list rates that are negotiated by this Congress down to the exact penny. Yet, on the most consequential financial impact to generations into the future, they write less than (52) words. (290) characters, including punctuation.

That’s only (10) more characters than you could post in a single free Twitter account’s post.

Also, if they were being honest they would have just written,

β€œIncrease in Debt Limit: $4 trillion.”

Just know that Elon Musk tweeted multiple times and many more words/characters than this, and he never mentioned the debt limit.

Musk Doesn’t Care About National Debt, Deficit, or US Going β€œBankrupt”

Elon Musk was publicly proclaiming he was upset about β€œpork” without any real specificity. During his emotional breakdown on Twitter, he complained about the lack of a 3rd party in America – despite many of them existing – and accused Trump (in a now deleted tweet) of being in the β€œEpstein files.”

At no time did Elon Musk provide a substantive, direct, or attributable complaint about the bill itself. He cited not a single page nor sentence nor any line or word at all from it.

Perhaps he was covering his own ass as people learned how little DOGE actually accomplished.

Imaginary EV Credits

Trump claimed Elon Musk was only upset about the fact that the β€œEV credit” was not in the bill. To that point, it should be noted (and you can do this for yourself) that the phrase β€œev credit” does not appear in the bill at all.

In fact, there are only (2) mentions in the entire thing of the phrase β€œelectric vehicle” and it has nothing to do with granting, extending, or redefining anything related to a tax credit for EV.

It is in a section about registration fees for automobiles.

There is a lot more to uncover about exactly what Elon Musk was promised in exchange for his financial contributions to the Donald Trump campaign in 2024.

But for the people who claim he bought the White House, ask youself, “from whom?”

Donald John Trump Doesn’t Know Nor Care About Anything In This Bill

You have to beg the question of whether or not Donald Trump even knows what the hell is in this stupid bloated bullshit bill. Or, if he is just doing this to stop impeachment from moving forward because this time he would not be in control of that process like the staged fake opposition he was involved in back in 2019, or after January 6th. The DNC raises money on these kinds of (pun intended) trumped up campaigns, and Trump does it in tandem with them. I know that is hard for a lot of readers to grapple with, but it is true, and would explain so many more things to you than you are currently confused about.

Though the Congressmen who have put forth articles of impeachment stole their arguments from my work and did a bad job of it, those could still be used against Trump.

He knows that.

In fact, there have been so many new impeachable offenses against Trump new ones should be drafted. But let’s look at exactly how to tell Trump knows nothing about this bill.

More Fuzzy Math To Help Print Government Funny Money

Political cartoon of a pig in lipstick trying to teach a room full of people math that the pig doesn't even understand.

There is a line item that gets cut for something related to forestry, in the amount of $100,719,676. Again, very specific somehow, down to the exact dollar amount. Yet we are given rounded numbers for things like, β€œ(C) $425,000,000 is provided for design, planning, engineering, construction of, and program management for enlisted boot camp barracks, multi-use training centers, and other related facilities.”

That must be some big beautiful barracks.

Any idea where that project will be?

It’s in a section of Coast Guard allocations, so I’m guessing a state on a coast.

Now, if there was one thing even Donald Trump’s fiercest opponents could admit, that he should be able to do – it’s a budgeting for real estate and construction. Yet somehow or another this project is given a street number with no specificity as to location or anything else. How can anybody audit this in the future? If nobody does…

New Congressional Budgeting Rules Should Be Established

To that end, I would say that as a new general rule for Congress, if projects like this do not yet have enough accurate quotations to provide an exact budget – it should not be in this or any other bill. Having no exact numbers means It is not ready. Even Donald Trump knows that. The fact these jokers in Congress don’t even fib numbers that look legitimate unless it’s limiting what poor people and farmers can negotiate for is astonishing. Baffling actually.

America is not a hedge fund – where the government can just commit financial fraud to cover their tracks. This is the federal government – and taxpayer dollars. That’s real fiduciary responsibility. Perhaps that’s why the economic and financial team surrounding this Presidential administration is unable to see that.

It should be noted that a fair number of the instances of this bill relate to budget changes, meaning there are sets of (2) numbers denoting changes in allocation but actually only (1) line of present funding. In other words, there are dozens or hundreds of $ instances that are negotiating points but confuse things.

Additionally, only in some places are things budgeted out into the future.

This also creates confusion among members, and the public, about which things are being budgeted and projected into the future and which things are more of a temporary basis.

DoD Increases Take Up Much of This Bill

One of the departments that got special treatment in this bill is the DoD.

Look up how many line items are for rockets. Very few. Some going to the Navy actually. A branch of the military Elon Musk does not have much or any contact with.

Then look up β€œspace force.” Where you might imagine Elon Musk makes his money with SpaceX or Starlink. You’ll see what Elon Musk may be more upset about if you do that. There is only $2.1B allocated for satellite related projects here. Elon wasn’t going to get all of that. Now he will get little or none of it.

So despite his work hiding and lying about an increase in the defense budget, little of this bill was allocated for him. Perhaps that is why he mentioned impeachment in his online tirade, learning that this bill is only meant to block/shield Trump from those inquiries.

Of the (766) $ symbols in this bill, a vast majority of them are concentrated on the defense department. Perhaps unsurprising to many, but it would upset a lot of people who voted for and thought Donald Trump was going to cut back on defense spending.

It may excite people who are in that industry.

Congress Won’t Hold Itself Accountable Now, Or Ever

Political cartoon of pigs in lipstick getting drunk on the dime of the American people.

However, my main problem is not the exact figure or allocations, as much as it is the lack of transparency on the exact cost of things. This is exactly the kind of fraud, waste, and abuse behavior Elon Musk would have found if that was the real reason he did this whole DOGE thing. But Elon doesn’t care about these things nor could he find it if he tried. We know that because in Q4 last year he did try. And he failed. Badly. I proved that he failed badly by providing a free consultation to counteract his bad advice or lacking of meaningful input.

Since Elon Musk and his DOGE team, along with Trump and the Republicans, as well as Democrats who only fake opposition to this whole administration – are not going to alert the public to the simple ways they could comprehend this stuff – I will do it myself.

In the real world we have to pay in exact dollars and cents.

Things in the real world cost actual money, not printed currency to devalue the people’s ability to trade on our own. This administration, and the Congress (on both sides of the aisle) are fiscally irresponsible, and too many of them are actually functionally incapable of doing anything but corny social media videos as if they’re just influencers representing a PAC.

We should all be dismayed to know how many instances the word β€œveteran” appears in this anemic waste of elected official resources. (3) times. In standard, boilerplate language related to defining an individual. Nothing about increasing benefits. No broad estimate of dollars allocated for mental health support or family members of veterans.

SNAP Back To Reality

In terms of the SNAP debate, SEC. 10012. ALIEN SNAP ELIGIBILITY does contain a few interesting tidbits. One of those interesting tidbits is what I’m calling the Cuban Carveout, where for some reason there is a special rule set for those who are β€œan alien who is a citizen or national of the Republic of Cuba.” There are (22) total mentions of Cuba, for whatever that’s worth. (1) mention of β€œCanada.” (13) mentions of β€œMexico.” If you have some spare time, search for other countries to see how important they are to whoever the real author(s) of this bill are.

When it comes to Medicaid and Medicare, the bill actually redefines eligibility in such a way that it would cause some people who are currently getting those benefits to no longer receive them. There does not seem to be any such negotiations on the overall scope, scale, or size of the funds available for these programs, though. So to say that the programs are getting cut is not quite accurate. This explains why Speaker Mike Johnson constantly says things like the programs will be getting stronger.

Democrats Are Pretending To Fight and It’s Gotten On My Last Nerve

Political cartoon of Chuck Schumer as a pig with lipstick pretending to fight Donald Trump in public while being his partner in private.

Democrats have been quiet about their proposal to increase the income level of which we will be taxed for these programs, as well as social security. They want more money in the system, while claiming they will not be able to stop the Republicans from kicking poor people off of these programs. That means they are stealing from the poor and giving to the rich – who may not even need government assistance at all. This is currently being presented in public (from the Democrats) as cutting these programs in order to fund tax cuts for the rich. That is not exactly how this bill is structured, though.

Dollars and Cents For Us, Blank Checks For Them

Whatever you think about the size of the DoD budget, they should be just as accountable as farmers who get subsidized are when it comes to the price of their crops. Whichever Congress members represent the defense contractors, should be required to submit with these bills some kind of estimate or quote for the projects they are submitting. Without that, these are pipe dreams that will eventually be overrun and that pattern cannot continue. Be clear, that Elon Musk did not bring you this recognition. I did. Donald Trump did not say these things to you. I did.

Chuck Schumer is not talking about leveling the playing field by holding every line item to account with exact figures. I am.

Not even Obama or the other former Presidents are suggesting something so minuscule yet powerful.

Thomas Massie isn’t.

You won’t hear this point of view on your favorite (or least favorite) podcast either.

Budgetwolf Revisited

I tried to introduce this kind of framework and mentality to the Congress and the press last year when Musk and DOGE first got outed as completely incompetent when it comes to budgeting or legislating. That was done under the pseudonym β€œBudgetWolf.”

Rob Price from Business Insider questioned me about my relationship and professional ties to Elon Musk. To which I told him that I never worked for Musk, but I did disrupt his takeover of Twitter which you don’t know about because of the other Matt journalist and his fantasy project β€œThe Twitter Files” with Bari Weiss. But ask Rob about me and he can show you the BudgetWolf email(s) that he was cc’d on. He should publish them. I’ve granted permission, and still do.

Otherwise, what the public is going to get, is a continuation of the same. Even if the Senate and House somehow reform the bill as they made it, it will structurally still be largely the same.

Homelessness Is Not Where Their Heart Is

One last thing, when it comes to the most vulnerable among us, which arguably are the homeless.

We hear a lot in the press including from Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson and their β€œAbundance” project, about a β€œhousing crisis.” The homeless often get a passing mention in their conversations, while deregulation is a big concern for them. Building more homes. How many mentions of the word β€œhomeless” do you think Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill has?

(1). SEC. 10002. ABLE BODIED ADULTS WITHOUT DEPENDENTS WORK REQUIREMENTS. The definition effectively bars homeless people from that subsection. Worse, the bill provides them no help. Congress devotes far less attention to society’s most vulnerable than to almost any other critical issue. Having experienced homelessness with my wifeβ€”and never sought government aid myselfβ€”I find Congress’s neglect especially egregious.

These Little Piggys Need To Go…All the Way Home

Political cartoon of members of Congress as pigs in lipstick running away from the nation's Capitol building.

When people think of β€œpork” they often think of wasteful projects. When people think of fraud, waste, or abuse, they think of people claiming benefits they don’t deserve. But the people who don’t deserve these benefits are the people who are rich enough not to need them. Those people are going to get a greater share of programs like Medicaid and Medicare thanks to this bill (if it passes in its current form) by redefining who is eligible and not seeking out the most vulnerable to help them first.

All too many members of Congress are doing “town halls” right now vying for the open position of the Democratic primary in 2028. Some are working on electoral campaigns for 2026. That means these elected officials are forsaking their home town constituents. Their insights, therefore, are not to be believed. How coudl you believe a politician from another district will represent you later if they aren’t representing their own constituency now? That’s why liberals, progressives, leftists, and Democrats should abandon Bernie Sanders.

Abandon AOC. Neither of them are telling you what I am, because neither of them care.

The real pork in this bill, or the fat anyway, are the line items of spending allocations that are inexact. Why do farmers have to deal with rigid reference prices but defense contractors get open-ended bids and rounded numbers? Overruns and overage are both a big problem in the way government buys things. That won’t be fixed by Elon Musk or anybody currently in Congress.

No political leaders from either party will fix this.

I could fix it, if you would let me.

Will you let me?
