The Hidden Financial Motives of U.S. Political Elite
Donald Trump and Zelenskyy didnβt negotiate many Ukraine deal points publicly. In their now-infamous press debacle at the White House, Trump insisted it was all about minerals or nothing. However, that stance shifted somewhat in the past few days, as details about a nascent deal between America and Ukraine began to surface. One major problem with this deal is its lack of enforceability. Another issue is the underlying corruption of both Donald Trump and former President Biden, which is staggering. But perhaps the most important takeaway is that Donald Trump is, in fact, a terrible deal maker.
Trumpβs tariffs represent a massive failure, especially when considering his stated reasons for imposing themβall lies and distractions. This Ukraine situation highlights another area where Trump has failed to live up to his promises from the campaign trail. If he truly intends to run in 2028, this is a problem. Of course, his political future depends on whether heβs forced out of office before then.
Assuming Trump has a political career that lasts beyond the summer, his moves in Ukraine resemble those in Israel/Gaza, where he claims to be developing real estate. But will we the people benefit from any of this? Thatβs the question millions are asking as this Ukraine minerals deal unfoldsβa deal with no specifics given to the public, only posturing and nonsense. Trumpβs latest move is to pretend the deal is done, claiming progress in principle but ultimately refusing to take credit.
1 Step Forward, 2 Steps Back, Seen From 10 Steps Ahead – My Perspective
The recent Ukraine deal brokered by Donald Trumpβs administration is yet another example of how financial corruption runs deep in the veins of U.S. politics. That isnβt the narrative youβll hear any other news outlet talk about, though. The public is easily distracted by partisan squabbles and the spectacle. Thatβs why the personal financial conflicts of interest of President Trump are still not being taken seriously. As Trumpβs dealings with Ukraine unfold, itβs becoming increasingly clear that his role in this situation is more about skimming money for himself than about securing peace or helping Ukraine. But the problem goes much deeper than just Trump.
This is about the entire two-party system and the financial entanglements that prevent real accountability.
Making Deals Is An Art & A Science
Itβs also about how, as an expert in deal-making, Iβve even outfoxed the President. His supporters and opposition act like heβs the only one with a brain for negotiation. But Iβve already done what he couldnβt which largely had to do with thinking of interests without Donald Trump’s interests in mind. I only thought about what would be best for the United States, Ukraine and Russia, and the world. My portion of the deal development did not deal with territory, which is in dispute given where the mining would likely take place.
However, it did create space for Ukraine and Russia to talk about doing business together there in the future. Whether that is possible or not or reasonable or not, it is not an idea that’s been floated.
Almost as if it’s too insane to ask but people want to shooting to stop so they can get a deal. Yet they won’t recommend a deal that brings Ukraine and Russia together financially? That’s odd to not have as an option unless Donald Trump is the financial intermediary literally; like money wiring through accounts he controls – which it very well may be.
Congress must find that kind of thing out. But sadly too many of them are likely invested with Trump.
The reality is, that Donald Trump might be an excellent deal-maker for himself. Sometimes for his partners who are loud, silent, or unknown. But none of us are on the same side of the table as him. And even his friends are only friends so long and so far. He is purely a self-interested person, and a financially treasonous President.
My ULTRA Deal: Outpacing Trump With Even More Artistry
Donald Trumpβs book βThe Art of the Dealβ is something his buddies like Piers Morgan always bring up whenever heβs doing something erratic. They say itβs part of his negotiation strategy to get what he wants.
Being brash and bombastic, making things up and lying, or whatever the case may be – is part of the theatrics they say – of a genius. In reality, Donald Trump inherited enough leverage from his father (both financial and political) that he never had to do real work a day in his life. He doesn’t have to be too smart to do what he has done over his lifetime. Just smart enough.
The deals he has made have always been for himself and – at best – his family alone.
While his first term as President was believed to be good for the economy, 2020 was the last declared recession we had. He printed so much money it’s insane. Biden had a silent crash in the stock market in 2022, but heβs not a βbusiness guyβ so despite my disdain for him, it makes sense his claims to fame were money printing legislation like The Chips Act. These things on both sides did nothing to actually spur the American economy in any real or meaningful way. At best it was a cover operation for feeding publicly traded companies, their major shareholders, and extremely wealthy people like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and plenty of others.
So, I don’t need to think about those people or their needs when I think about how to help our country figure out any other way to help move forward on peace in Ukraine while not getting shafted on any money outlaid.
My Computer Is Mightier Than His Sharpie
You won’t hear commenters talking about this, or my plan, because most people know better.
They know within the halls of Congress, and at most major press outlets, the kind of work I do. They take just enough inspiration and enough substance, but leave out the bones, guts, and personality, until my work is mutilated and barely recognizable. That’s also why it takes longer, and the wrong people get credit or elevated for it. Do I sound bitter? Absolutely.
Just imagine how you’d feel if you actually did what everybody is saying they want; for somebody to do something – and I DO that thing – and it goes unregistered as if it never happened. If you are reading this, and still telling yourself I’m just like somebody else you can think of or some nobody, find me another nobody doing what I’m doing.
Find me anybody else proposing a better plan than the Presidents for Ukraine. You can’t. There’s not. Not from the public. Nor from the politicians. Not from the business leaders of America. Maybe it’s out there, but we aren’t seeing it, and as a citizen who has stuck my hand in a lot of these types of situations; I am frustrated with the piss poor crop of people being heard.
Move Beyond Commentary, To True Civic Engagement
To the extent that the President is in charge of foreign policy, most people simply comment on his moves, rather than thinking competitively. In the case of a President like Donald Trump who is treasonously aligned in conflict with the financial well-fare of the United States heβs supposed to hold above himself, I realized that I cannot just sit idly by. Congress isnβt taking it upon themselves to stand up beyond Trump to represent us on the world stage ahead of him. They are afraid of him. I am not.
Prior to Zelenskyy’s famous meeting in the White House, I sent his people the details of my findings about how the President is financially conflicted in the situation. I made it explicitly clear that he could not be trusted to bring about peace for them without taking advantage of them and that the American people are not in support of how he was doing what he was doing either. My recommendations included the admission that grants are not loans, and that foreign powers like Europeans could be of equal or greater support than the United States.
I Am A Problem They Can’t Solve
That communication was not reported on, but it happened. Reporters know it.
The next day Trump and Vance gang up on Zelenskyy trying to force him to sign something or make promises in front of the press. Yes, I believe I did that. To cut through the modesty, I do believe that the Ukrainians finally understood who they are dealing with in Donald Trump. It broke Zelenskyy’s heart to realize it, that Donald Trump does not care about him or anybody else. Trump will talk about the people dying and so will Vance but neither of them care. I recommended they bid out the minerals contract(s) instead of giving it exclusively to the United States so long as Trump was in office; because his grip on our financial levers is corrupt.
In the midst of the ongoing Ukraine conflict, I crafted a proposal that was based on something far more strategic and realistic than anything coming from either Trump or Zelenskyy. Or any American elected official. Or international leadership.
Re-Read ULTRA, and Tell Me I Had No Effect
This is where my ULTRA deal comes in. It was a creative and practical negotiation framework that I believed the various parties could actually accept, to some extent. Some of the components of this article I published and sent around the world included the notion that Ukraine is able to raise money (which they then did) and have partnerships outside of the United States. I also said that the American President has a problem with self-dealing like his predecessor, and the American people need to get some benefit from those transactions even if the federal governmentβs terms were granting money not loaning it.Β
Being given no coverage for my attempt to move insider opinion and shape policy is devastating. Regardless it is good to see the product of my work appear to have an impact. It is probably terrifying for people to think that any unelected person with no ties to the political system and no financial backing could have such effects on those who appear untouchable. It may be invalidating for those who considered themselves the resistance who still fantasize about sit-ins like Hakeem Jeffries.
Or those people who wish they were active in politics to participate in the civil rights movement of the 60’s like Chuck Schumer. People these days focus too much on the volume of their message, or the styling of their content. Substance, is where you have to start, though.
A Government of the People, by the People, for the People Means You Have To Take Responsibility
Instead of just commenting on what the people in power do, and acting like you have no power, do whatever you can think of to make a change. That’s what I do. I don’t get involved in groups. I do my own thing. No politician has ever spoken for me. Do you see or hear any politicians coming up with what I have? I don’t.
That’s why I remain patriotically engaged, shaping the nation the way I see fit. Many people stop me or try. It does not matter. That has left me in a lone wolf type position, though without the leverage Donald Trump has the luxury of. That’s why my perspective is so prescient right now and why you must heed my words and acknowledge me as the author of these major changes like the direction of the Ukraine/America deal.
In the proposed semi-fake deal Trump laid out that Ukrainians agreed to, he conceded that the money sent to them was a grant not a loan. While this deal looks like a win for Trump on minerals, itβs a loss on this point he has plastered all over the news countless times. Citing the wrong figures about how much money the United States gave compared to the rest of the world. Things like that. Calling it a loan. Itβs not.
He agrees now itβs not and apparently signed that as such.
Regardless of any minerals deal, this is a confession or an admission of wrongness too. Now we have to dig deep enough to find where the legal wrongdoing is. The deal points, narrative, and rhetoric of Trump and his cronies related to Ukraine make it obvious he is up to no good.
Who Has the Cards Now Making These Ukraine Deal Points
When Zelenskyy visited the White House months ago, he was met with a press ambush and insults from the Vice President about being thankless and not wearing a suit. A more pathetic display of groveling and pettifogging I may never have seen. Trump was already promoting his great deal-making image, claiming that he was the only person who could bring peace to Ukraine. His supporters in his cabinet and Senate repeated those same parrot points.
Acting like only Trump could make peace possible, and he himself kept talking about walking away from the deal if he didnβt get what he wanted. With no clear indication as to how the American people were supposed to get paid back from money that wasnβt ever meant to be paid back.
But, in reality, what has transpired since that meeting is a slow, meandering process of non-deals that have taken months yet to materialize – if they materialize at all.
I picked up a few cards and played some hands metaphorically speaking. Just in looking at the situation, I was able to see things that were not discussed in public nor reported on. That’s because the metaphorical card game Trump referenced is American policy. That is something we all should have the right to participate in. If we can’t get our way, we are just (1) person, right? Just like the President; who also doesn’t always get his way.
Trump Is Easy To Beat If You Actually Try
Trump’s deal was basically, *give the United States all rare Earth minerals, or there will be no peace* which doesn’t even make sense. From that perspective, it’s like America is at war with Ukraine with Russia as our proxy. When in the propaganda we have been fed, at best, Ukraine is our proxy against Russia. From that perspective, creating a peace deal without that element of Trump preferences and self-dealing, there are many things which could be done. The illusion that Trump holds some kind of special skill here is crazy.
In stark contrast, I was already ahead of the curve in terms of strategic foresight.
For weeks, even months, I had urged Ukrainian officials privately to seek deals globally – to leverage relationships outside of the American diplomatic channels. I didnβt have any splashy photo ops or ability to do televised posturing. My focus was on real negotiation, one that could benefit Ukraine, its people, and ultimately, America. I crafted a framework that was practical, sustainable, and offered tangible returns for Ukraine, instead of hollow promises and photo opportunities.
While Zelenskyy was touring the world and making deals seeking support from various international leaders, Trump was busy in the background groveling for a βwinβ to distract from his horrifying tariff failures. Another project he doesnβt really care about since most of his time is spent distracting people from his real financial cons.
Even more telling was the photo op Trump arranged with Zelenskyy at the Popeβs funeral, which was widely praised as a symbol of unity and diplomatic strength. To those paying attention, it was nothing more than a staged moment of desperation by a flailing president – still grasping for optics of control.
The President Is Just Biden His Time
When we look at Donald Trump and Joe Biden, itβs easy to see them as political rivals, locked in a battle for power. They went against one another in the 2020 election for Godβs sake! Right? But this rivalry is more performative than real. Behind closed doors, both of these men have been accused of self-dealing. Both men have been found to have illicit dealings with foreign nations while working in the executive branch. Their public fights, whether over Ukraine or other issues, is a show – an illusion crafted for the cameras to maintain the narrative that they are opponents.
In reality, their financial dealings align far more than the public perceives.
Biden and Trump have never really gone after each other in a meaningful way – despite the mediaβs portrayal of their ongoing clashes. Even the impeachment of Donald Trump which had Joe Bidenβs name in it, from the 2019 Ukraine infamous phone call with Zelenskyyβ¦Trump was not removed from office. Biden won the next year after defeating dozens of Democratic party primary candidates – despite being one of the least popular people there – but more on that another time.
I’m Tired of Fake Fights Between Fake People
Their fight is fake. Thatβs the point. Yet the ping pong effect could give you whiplash from people doing the whatabout routine. Whichever one of these guys you view as worse than the other doesnβt matter. What matters is theyβre both bad in terms of using the White House as a cash cow, and the likelihood they have done so in collusion together: is high. They simply create the illusion of opposition, while both men continue to benefit financially behind the scenes. Both parties benefit as well.
As these two juggernauts of American politics pretend to fight, they operate in the same financial ecosystems, making deals and investments that line their pockets at the publicβs expense. Anybody who is aligned with them on that one way or another will play their part. Either arguing about or against these candidates like they are polar opposites when theyβre more like (2) sides of the same hand.
Trumpβs Corruption in the Ukraine Deal Must Be Investigated
The latest Ukraine deal serves as a perfect example of Trumpβs ability to manipulate the system for personal gain. The deal, focused on mining interests and military contracts, seems less about peace and more about ensuring Trump and his allies continue to profit off international dealings.
But Trumpβs corruption goes beyond just the Ukraine deal.
The Democrats, who have spent years attacking Trump over his financial dealings, have lost their oppositional integrity in this case. They have ignored the corruption in their own ranks, particularly concerning Bidenβs family and their ties to Burisma and other Ukrainian entities. Democrats have been reluctant to acknowledge any of Bidenβs potential conflicts of interest, just as Republicans refuse to acknowledge Trumpβs financial misdeeds. This partisan hypocrisy allows both men to continue operating unchecked, while the American people are left holding the bag.
Trump Is Actually Terrible At Making Deals
A good deal is one where both sides are happy with the result. If multiple parties are involved, then a great deal is when everybody else wins. In fact, an excellent deal is when all the people involved do well, and many people outside of them do well also.
But Donald Trump has a financial network and business structure unlike most people but not unlike everybody. Without getting into the particulars of everything he has going on keep in mind he has The Trump Organization (real estate), $DJT (technology), World Liberty Financial (cryptocurrency), and plenty of other hustles. All of these things have different partners, but on each one he is his own island. Perhaps his children are treated fairly, but probably not. So heβs a lone wolf to the core now.
That means he is either lying to people about working with him that it will work out for them, or he means it but doesnβt care or will break promises easily. Many people already know that or think that, but they forget how to apply it in cases like Ukraine.
Trump Couldn’t Make A Better Deal Than Me To Save His Life
The other thing is, if deal-making is his claim to fame or proudest achievement, hitting him on that can damage the part of his ego that doesnβt care about being called the orange man. People miss this opportunity because they go to attacking his failed businesses or bankruptcies. However, this misses the mind of the man. A bankruptcy is actually a deal. Itβs a negotiation. You can call that a failure, but making a deal instead of paying fines or going to jail is a win. Especially at the level he can afford to do so.
With that in mind, you canβt hurt Donald Trumpβs feelings talking about Trump University. You can, however, make better deals and push him out of the table entirely in certain cases. He probably hates that more than he hates getting a bad deal for himself. But when it comes to literal life and death, Trumpβs deal-making is the least important factor to weigh in on. The real issue is that Trumpβs public persona is built on the idea of him being the only one who can negotiate peace, yet his financial interests undermine his ability to be a true mediator.
Rejecting the Trump Deal-Maker Myth
Supporting Trump in this process is not patriotic – itβs about supporting a man who has proven time and again that his actions are more about his own financial well-being than about the good of the American people. Even Democrats are willing to suspend their performative hatred for Trump to βallow him to cookβ on things like foreign affairs and the economy. For the cold-hearted Democratic strategists in the bunch, they are vying for control of the Congress in 2027 so they are willing to let things burn now. I think thatβs despicable and most Americans do too. They just have no idea there is any alternative to these do-nothings.
The idea that Trump is the only one capable of bringing peace to Ukraine is ridiculous.
If Putin and Zelenskyy could find any other intermediary, the process would likely move much more quickly and efficiently than having Trump at the helm. Where is Switzerland at? Sweden? Portugal? China? I mean, I know weβre supposed to distrust the Chinese, as adversaries, and perhaps we should. But Trump has never told the American people what we are getting out of this beyond vague promises and self-serving financial benefits. Which should lead you to believe we get nothing. He gets what he wants, though, even if it looks like his administration or our nation lost.
Taxpayer dollars have gone to Ukraine as a grant, ostensibly to defend Ukraine and ensure European safety. Weapons manufacturers have gotten paid – so have their shareholders. But whereβs the American publicβs benefit? Minerals? Who gets that?
Certainly not the American people.
Senator Chris Murphy Says Trumpβs Ukraine Deal βisnβt worth the paper itβs signed onβ
Congress members like Murphy are growing beards because this administration is so bad. It is nice to see him leading the charge to demonstrate how Trump is grifting. But he isnβt really coming up with any solutions. I am an ordinary citizen pushing for change while being ignored, censored, and plagiarized by those in power. Like his colleagues, though, he and his staff pretend I donβt exist.
Instead of giving my proposal real weight, people like Murphy get themselves attention on television. Just to whine and accomplish nothing.
I get it. I really do. Trust me.
After half a decade of this kind of thing, Iβve grown used to it. It just has to change.
Notice, nobody else is individually willing to stand up directly to this President or his administration in ways that alter the course of history. There might be students getting shine for grabbing a microphone. However brave those children may be, they are not yet capable of affecting policy in any meaningful way.
Trumpβs corruption in this process is a problem that needs to be investigated, but it wonβt be – because the two-party system allows these leaders to collaborate in secrecy, while everyone else is left out.
A Call for Real Accountability
In the end, what the American public needs is accountability. Trumpβs corruption in Ukraine, and his financial motivations, are real issues that need to be addressed. An impeachment would be obvious if the opposition party had any guts or decency. But the partisan system – with its fake fights and divisive rhetoric – keeps people from seeing the truth. Biden and Trump, both equally guilty of using Ukraine as a financial tool, have skirted accountability for far too long. They should both be investigated.Itβs time to disrupt the narrative and demand transparency from those who claim to lead us.
Trumpβs role in the Ukraine deal should be investigated thoroughly, not swept under the rug because of political expediency. The American people deserve the truth, and itβs up to you to demand it. Elevate me to do so: me, the person.
